The current and future role of volunteers at apas.

apas has a long and proud history of successfully recruiting and retaining volunteers. The success of our volunteer programme can be shown by the many faces who are now permanent members of staff who started their apas careers as volunteers and in return have now progressed to become vital members of the apas team.
The work and crucial role volunteers provide enable apas to work more effectively. Moving forward we envisage an even more prominent positions for unpaid workers. Currently unpaid workers graduate to become telephone advice workers (TAWs) but it is hoped that future recruits to our program will play a more varied role at apas.
