are in the city centre, near the Castle. Follow signs to City from any
direction and then follow the brown tourist signs for the Castle. There are two multi-storey car parks nearby: Mount St is 1 minute away on foot, St James’s St is 2 minutes. Drivers can follow the signs to these car parks. On-street parking is available on Park Row and disabled parking bays are also available on Park Row and on The Ropewalk (right next to us).
From the Midland Railway Station Taxis are plentiful here (fare about £4). If you choose to walk allow 20 - 25 minutes – directions are given below. Alternatively, you can catch the tram to Old Market Square and then it’s a 5 -10 minute walk – follow these directions. First, follow the brown tourist signs for the Castle. At the Castle gatehouse turn into Standard Hill; pass the Rutland Square Hotel on your right. At the junction with Mount St go straight ahead into Postern St; the headquarters of Nottingham City Primary Care Trust (NHS) is on your left. You will now see apas facing you as Postern St joins Park Row. By Tram NET Line One: get off at Old Market Square. Follow the brown tourist signs to the Castle (see above). By Bus From Victoria or Broad Marsh bus stations, follow the brown tourist signs for the Castle (see above). NCT services; get off at Old Market Square or The Salutation. Then, follow the brown tourist signs to the Castle (see above). Level access is available via a shared entrance at113 The Ropewalk, which is just around the corner from our main door. This entrance is normally staffed from 8.30 AM until 5.15 PM. It may not be staffed on every Saturday so it is advisable to ‘phone first if you are coming in on Saturdays (we’re open until 12.30 PM on Saturdays) and in the evenings after 5.15 PM and you require level access. If we’re expecting you we will meet you.
